    On setting up the plugin for the very first time, I choose to have the cache off the publi_html. Path is clearly in the gc-config.ini.php.

    On the other hand , in settings, you still able to see the code that should be pasted in the .htaccess.

    I am assuming (not so sure) that this code does not need to be pasted when you use the custom Gator directory (either A or B):

    Copy this block to the very top of your .htaccess above the WordPress rules. Remove any other caching plugin rules

    To use http caching, you’d need to put the recommended directives in your htaccess file, regardless of the cache directory location. The rewrite rules are basically the same but you should see a line added that starts with “Alias /gator_cache/”, if your cache dir is above the document root, ie the WP ABSPATH.
