  • hi there,
    after a couple of sweat covered days working my way into WP, CSS and PHP (still not really far though..) my blog is <del>rocking</del> .. er.. functioning
    Please heave a look at it and give me some comments on my mistakes (or stuff you like if there is any..)

  • What do you mean when you say “get php working inside a posted article”? What, specifically, are you trying to do?
    The site itself is pretty cool, although for me (Firefox 9.1 in Linux) your menu runs off the page in a 800px wide window… and there’s no horizontal scrollbar… weird stuff.

    As far as I know, there’s not a really good way to do that without implementing some kind of kludge (like having an img tag reference a php script that generates an image with the text containing the proper number of days)…
    Gee… I was a lot less than helpful there.

    Yes I have some concerns about the CSS positioning of this site. It is running off right and obscuring the menu but there is no scroll bar. Line length in content to me also looks a bit long to me. Welcome to WP.

    @weeble this is an idea that could work for some stuff indeed – although for doing this I really have to want it!
    for the CSS/800px issue, I have changed some tags and hope the thinner design will fit for anyone (can see the whole menu?) – please let me know if you still have trouble viewing it..

    Well the style is working just fine in Netscape 7.1 (& I am personally very attracted to the drawing tools with fin & face, really, I am.)

    I can see the whole menu now at 800px. Although I’m personally not fond of fixed-width designs, I really do like the header image and the overall simplicity of the layout.

    I think I’ve gone blind …. ?? VERY VERY Bright

    thanks for all your valuable feedback – I added a border to compensate the white around, fine tuning of the colors of the fonts is next on schedule.
    (so no one has to loose his eye sight anymore…)
    for other major improvements I think I’ll integrate them little by little as I go along using the weblog and getting a feeling for what is missing..
