Independent Analytics strikes a very fine balance between providing adequate analytics for many site owners, simplicity, and script size.

It provides more details than the super simple Koko Analytics plugin, at circa the same script size, < 1kb. Other great tools like Matomo and Burst offer even more features out of the box, but that comes with a larger script size (~20 kb) and increased complexity.

Yes, there is upselling to the Pro version for campaigns, real-time traffic and more, but it’s subtle and really not intrusive; again striking a fine balance.

I sincerely appreciate speed, efficiency and privacy, and I hope that IA will continue to have focus on these areas in the years to come, as settling on an analytics plugin, is a long-term bet.
