Just renewed my domain, but it switched back to blogger

  • When I started my blog last year, I started it on Blogger. After a few weeks I got everything switched over to WordPress and have been using that ever since. I just renewed my domain through Google and Web Hosting Hub, but when I type in my URL (https://www.dixieruns.com), it goes directly to the old Blogger version, and the latest post is the last post I made using Blogger. Where did my wordpress site go and how can I get it back?

    are you using wordpress.com or a self-hosted website?

    I was using Web Hosting Hub but that service auto renewed, so there shouldn’t have been any lapse. I used wordpress to manage the site and create posts

    if you have a self hosted website with WordPress installed on it then I would recommend first looking at your DNS settings for your domain name to be sure they are not pointing to blogger but instead are pointing to the webhosting account that has all of your stuff.

    one way to check to be sure the content has not been lost is to view the database. often you can access the database by logging into your webhosting account. the area to look in is normally called PHPMYADMIN.
