just purchased pro. cannot activate due to "fatal error"

  • Plugin could not be activated because it triggered a fatal error.

    Fatal error: Cannot redeclare load_jquery() (previously declared in /home/mrsfun/public_html/wp-content/themes/simpro/inc/functions/common.php:16) in /home/mrsfun/public_html/wp-content/plugins/html5-jquery-audio-player-pro/plugin.php on line 92

    i even tried some fixes that others had used… but i had already 1) deactivated the old plugin before activating the new one and then 2) deleted the old non-pro version of the plugin from my server… and i’m still getting a fatal error.

    frustrating.

    Hi Tray,

    This error message indicates that your theme has a hardcoded jQuery function in themes/simpro/inc/functions/common.php on line 16. Basically this means your theme is declaring a jQuery function, then the plugin is also trying to declare the same function and it’s causing a conflict and breaking the site.

    In short, you need to fix this up in your theme. Have a read of the second FAQ down for more info.
