Just not understanding free plugin

Hi,
I configured the plugin just as directed, marked 0 in price, checked login to download and the rest of settings in misc of EDD…
But when I cliked on download I was taken to the message:

Your download will start shortly, if it’s not, then you can try clicking on this direct link.

The download never started and the direct link didn’t take anywhere.

I looked at multiple solutions and None seemed to make sense to me

I use amazon s3 plugin

1. There is filelist page It says to put my files on this files page but i dont know the process of doing that.

2. Is the files page where I put all multiple free product Items.

3. If number 2 is yes then will it display all of the free products on 1 page or like a huge vault of free songs then they just find what they want to click on.

I just really need to know how to fix problems New users are finding my site and saying nothing works I’m a lil frantic
