Also, if your map configured as a shortcode or widget? A link to the map page would help here

Hi Alexander, I have just updated, but the map still doesn’t load: https://www.cantuccini.be/ligging-traiteur-cantuccini/

the map is configured as shortcode

    [google-map-v3 width="100%" height="350" zoom="12" maptype="roadmap" mapalign="center" directionhint="true" language="default" poweredby="false" maptypecontrol="true" pancontrol="true" zoomcontrol="true" scalecontrol="true" streetviewcontrol="true" scrollwheelcontrol="false" draggable="true" tiltfourtyfive="false" addmarkermashup="true" addmarkermashupbubble="false" addmarkermashupbubble="false" bubbleautopan="true" showbike="false" showtraffic="false" showpanoramio="false"]

Can you please clear you blog/page cache?

By inspecting the log map error message in browser console, I can see that the message is old… I removed it from v9.0.9 (9.0.10 is out now). So, you are using cached JS still…

    Hi,
I am using W3C Total Cache and I have just emptied the page cach. I am still on 9.0.9 as 9.0.10 is not yet visible in my admin.

I am on 9.0.10 now; cache cleared

The error message from in my browser console from your page (I did hard reload):
“Fatal :: The global HTML <object> element is undefined. Aborting map generation” is from an older version of JS of the plugin, not from 9.0.9… but from a v9.0.8

I am not claiming you did not clear the cache., I am claiming that your newly installed plugin v9.0.9 refers to the cached 9.0.8 version JS.

Just a shot in the dark: disable W3C Total Cache, reinstall my plugin and enable cache again.. Make sure that cached resources CSS and JS are also cleared… I do not know how W3C total cache handles plugin reinstalls ….

These are the two JS files that come with my plugin, currently from your site:

    https://www.cantuccini.be/wp-content/plugins/comprehensive-google-map-plugin/assets/js/cgmp.framework.min.js

https://www.cantuccini.be/wp-content/plugins/comprehensive-google-map-plugin/assets/js/cgmp.framework.js (Normally your blog would use the “min” one)

You cant find message in neither of them….
“The global HTML <object> element is undefined. Aborting map generation”

You are still using cached version….

So now there is a new problem, you are using geo mashup and something goes wrong… Can I ask you to re-generate your shortcode (delete the old one), and resave the post/page where the shortcode is?

Hi, as soon as I disable the W3 Total Cache plugin, I do see more than before, but I still need to add something to the settings, but it is a step in the right direction.
No idea why the W3TC plugin would break your plugin, it has been downloaded a zillion times.

each time I publish the page, all Maps settings are reverted to the basic one ?? so each time I have to add my address now.

As soon as I activate the W3C plugin, it yet again keeps showing the loading icon. It’s too bad your plugin is incompatible with W3C as I really like your plugin, but I do need the caching plugin to speed up loading times.

    having the same problem.
    map works without W3C
    keeps loading with it
