• Please help!
I’m pulling my hair out now. I’ve been struggling for 4 days and can’t seem to get my website properly set.

I wrote the correct database name, database user, host and password in the wp-config.php file. I’ve checked it many times.

I had trouble uploading the WordPress folder contents because my FTP client was messing up with the location of the files and some of them were put in the wrong folder. Finally this morning I managed to manually organize every single folder and file in its correct place.

I’m able to access the WP dashboard but when I point my browser to my website I get nothig. Just a blank page. No error messages. Nothing.

My intention is to set up the Comicpress theme, which I’ve managed to activate from my dashboards page. But I can’t see anything yet.

I’m a total newbie in these matters of website publishing.
If anyone could help me I’ll be very thankful.

  • look in the wordpress root for .htaccess – if present delete it and see if site comes up

if none is there you or host may need to bump php memory to 32M

I deleted the htacces file with no results.
I’ll try the memory thing and see

Sounds like PHP errors to me. If PHP display_errors is off, you will get a blank white page if there are errors. Turn on display_errors in your php.ini file and reload the page. I bet you’ll have some lovely error messages.
