I just installed FSCF, and one thing I noticed was at the top of the Plugin (for Settings, first time upon installation) was this Red & Pink (warning?) banner that stated “Fast Secure Contact Form – You still haven’t completed your Meeting Scheduler settings. Click here to learn more, or Dismiss.”

I first chose to “Click here to learn more” and it went further into setting up cVita for use, and did NOT contain information as I expected to Learn More… What it really did was to seek information for a cVita account and/or setup (Email address, etc.)

I firmly believe that it SHOULD NOT SAY “Click here to learn more” but instead say, “Click here to SETUP the use of cVita” and also to have “Click here for more info on cVita” to truly provide information on cVita.

I then backed out (Backspace or previous page) and then chose “Dismiss“. My thought was that it would dismiss the Red & Pink (warning?) message. I was pleasantly surprised that this actually INACTIVATED cVita. Intuitively, I thought it should have dismissed the Red & Pink (warning?) area and nothing more.

If “Dismiss” is going to DISABLE cVita, then the text should read as such: “Dismiss and Disable the use of cVita”.

I had researched FSCF before installing it and knew I did not want to use or enable cVita at this time. The Red & Pink (warning?) only confused me and when clicking on the current two (2) options, I did NOT get what I expected as they are currently written or described in context of the Red & Pink (warning?) area.

    Just My Two Cents,

    Chris (aka PrettySickPuppy)

PS ~ You really, REALLY have the Mother of all Contact Form Plugins. Great Job, Mike. And user comments do help. I depend on them myself for things I’ve written/created in the past. I’ve only recently became a WP convert and believe WP and the multitude of Free and Premium plugins for it just about addresses every need or whim one could want. (Sites are either a Blog, eCommerce, Magazine, or a Portfolio of some sort, and WP covers it all!)

  • I have exactly the same concern, only I DID want vCita for my client, whom I assured that FSCF is the “mother of all contact forms”. I still think this (and will send a donation), but how in the heck to I dismiss the pink-encased message that shows up at the top of everywhere in my admin area? I went through the same experimentation as PrettySickPuppy and was UNplesantly surprised that the Dismiss link is NOT to dismiss the message, but to DISABLE cVita … which I had to enable again. Seems like this pink message: “FAST SECURE CONTACT FORM – You still haven’t completed your Meeting Scheduler settings. Click here to learn more or Dismiss” is more a marketing thing for cVita than anything else.

No link, since this is in my Admin area.

Thanks Green Being, for backing me up! lol

But here I have a suggestion/enhancement for the CSS CAPTCHA settings under the STYLE section for a Form. I’m sure Mike follows these postings, so I will put forth my ideas here first.

Currently, there is an option for the “CSS style for Submit DIV”, but there is NOT an option for a “CSS style for CAPTCHA Input DIV”. There really needs to be an option for styling the CAPTCHA Input DIV.

Why? Because I cannot create a DISPLAY:INLINE look like this:

    [captcha code input] [submit button]

Instead, it currently and can only look like this:

    [captcha code input]
    [submit button]

Okay, Mike. The ball is in your court…

Thanks, I will forward your comments/suggestions to vCita for future improvements

    Thanks Mike!

I have another question but maybe need to open a different thread.

Anyway, I am wondering if vCita is capturing/logging the emails sent out from FSCF with the vCita integration enabled. Right now I am using your Contact Form DB integration, which works great. I will ask vCita as well.

Just a follow up to the original observation for this thread.

I found that the pink-encased message disappeared when I finally went out and selected a medium (e.g. phone) for the “setting an appointment” choices presented in the contact form. I believe that you only get ONE choice (still trying to clarify with vCita) under a FREE account. What I noticed when I made that choice through my vCita account was that one of the two vCita meeting-setting icons disappeared AND the pink-encased message disappeared.

I would agree that vCita could make the process a little less ambiguous through that message. Right now, it kind of has you going in circles at the moment. ??
