I’m excited to use this software – woocommerce – but having installed it this morning, I’m having some issues with my theme (Sydney Pro 2). If you look at the homepage:

    Ownstream.co

You’ll see that the Syndey theme header is now in place…where it wasn’t there before, plus a number of the fonts have changed back to the factory settings for the theme rather than what we changed them to. Also, when I go into the “customize” area to fix these issues, I can’t seem to work with the theme at all – it just pinwheels into oblivion. I’m baffled. What to do? Ideally, there is a way I can simply restore my settings while keeping the plugins intact and active. Is there? Open to any suggestions here.

    Hi there @sbsga2021,

We’d recommend consulting the theme documentation or reaching out to the theme author for help with this. A theme’s display and layout options are independent from the WooCommerce plugin, and the theme creator is in the best position to help when those items change.

I’ve actually done that and they said that this was a Woo integration issue and to start with you guys. Can you ask others perhaps or is there any guidance you might know of? Surely this isn’t the first time this has happened with a user.

    Hello @sbsga2021,

The WooCommerce plugin by itself does not change the theme’s homepage header, display, font, or other settings. If the theme includes some specific WooCommerce settings, questions about those again would be best addressed by the theme author.

To investigate the Customize spinning wheel problem, you can head to WooCommerce > Status > Logs and check the file that starts with “fatal-errors.” That will give you a clue about any major problems the site is experiencing. It’s possible that another plugin on the site, or even the theme itself, is causing the problem, and a conflict test will help narrow down which one it is.
