• I just now got my IIS5 install of WordPress running at https://marklyon.org/.
I’m still getting a few errors while configuring stuff on the admin side, and RSS (and anything that wants to try and use an “/file.php/whatever” link) doesn’t seem to be working completely, but I did manage to move all my posts in from my static html, hand-written ASP/Access database, and from LiveJournal.
I even was able to modify one of the existing templates to look somewhat close to my old ASP-based site.
    Absolutely wonderful stuff. Thanks!

  • The wakeme clock looks pretty cool. I haven’t tried it out yet but I think I might try to download it once I get home from work. I like the basic “minimalist” look of your site.
BTW, I’m not sure the link is working in your paragraph about your site. I had to copy and paste it to visit your site. Hopefully you’ll still be able to fix that somehow (or maybe it’s just my browser?).

    Thanks.
I seem to have run into a bit of a bug with the WordPress text and the entry box in the comments section. CSS+DIV Positioning is going to be the end of me, I swear.
I miss tables. They were so simple.

Oh, I also fixed the “Error Messages” by editing php.ini. Forgot to kill off E_ALL and some of the other php.ini “development environment” settings.

Great site. Proof that standing out does not requrie lots of gizmos. One of my favorites.

Anyone who does applied calculus will find WP a cinch. Welcome to WP.

    Tables are evil! :p
