• I installed this plugin (been using User Access Manager for years) hoping to further tailor restrictions to certain content within posts and pages. Using [private group=”private”]content to hide[/private] with a ‘private’ group defined in User Access Manager, UAMPE doesn’t hide it from other registered users. It only hides the content from those not logged in/registered.

Too bad… this was exactly what I was looking for.

It’s working now, I didn’t know that in the tag variable “group=private” the name of the group is evidently case sensitive.

A couple of pitfalls to ‘trusting’ this plugin completely is (1) if using some kind of member subscription system for posts to be emailed to subscribed members, the security protection of UAMPE doesn’t extend to the emailed posts, (2) wish it worked in comments as well which it doesn’t.

Still, seems to work as advertised in posts.
