Just blog posts?

    Will subscribe2 only notify users of blog posts or will it pick up other types of posts as well? I use a plugin called NewsManager for reference articles and the blog for regular posts. I want to know if I post in NewsManager will an email go out?

    If not can the developer include that?

    This is possible, it looks like NewsManager creates a custom post type with a slug name of ‘news’. That needs registering in Subscribe2 to activate posts of new NewsManager items.

    You may also need to register the taxonomies of ‘news-category’ or ‘news-tag’ or both as well.

    You need to use the ‘s2_post_types’ and ‘s2_taxonomies’ hooks to do that with a little bit of code.

    Create a custom plugin or in your themes functions.php file.
