Just a quick hello

  • I’ve been running a personal site that uses pMachine with Gallery, and in the past have run sites with blogger, Greymatter and MT.
    While trying to decide what to use for a new journal site I took another look at WordPress and thought I’d try it out. I was amazed at the ease of installation! I didn’t think anything would install faster and easier than pMachine, but WP did.
    So now I’m just trying to get my layout and the WP codes to play nicely together before the official “reveal”. I doubt many of you here will find the topic interesting (it’s a knitting journal), but I will post a link once it’s up and running.
    I’m really liking WordPress so far and the Wiki info is excellent (not too little and not too much). Personally I was beginning to drown in MT’s manual.
    Thanks for a great product – it’s most impressive!

  • Heck. A lot of folks here really like knitting. WTWP. ??

    Knitting is fun, although I’m not too adept at it. A scarf is the extent of my abilities. I’m more comfortable with crochet. Everyone gets crocheted hats for Christmas whether they want them or not.
