Jumping NextGen Gallery

    If you look at the page I am trying to create at the link provided, you will see the gallery is unusable because every time you click on a thumbnail, the page itself jumps to the top, so you have to scroll to continue using the gallery. You have to do this every time you want to see the next image. So frustrating. What is the solution?

  • I have exactly the same problem, its a major one with long thumbnail gallery’s of 100 or more

    I feel Clients will just get bored and frustrated with having to scroll all the way back, to there original viewing position in the list of thumbnails and just leave the site

    Resulting in loss of buisness

    hopefully there is a solution for this

    Snapper 65, nobody helped me with this so in the end, I just gave up on NextGEN and bought a different gallery which works fine. NextGen might have helped if I had paid for an upgrade from the free version, but it was so expensive, I wasn’t prepared to take the risk that the issue might still not even be resolved even after paying $hundreds (in kiwi money). The one I bought only cost about a hundred kiwi dollars for lifetime use – a fraction of the nextGEN cost and I was very happy with the result.

    Im at exactly that point. I came on here with my problem, I’m getting everyone else problem in my inbox now, but nothing about my problem and now I have another problem that I know it not even worth putting on here. I will never use Nextgen again. TuiLorraine, what gallery did you change to?? Thanks

    And yes, it is kinda annoying to be having everyone’s problems cluttering the inbox.

    Thanks for the information about the alternative gallery plugin

    I own Nextgen Pro

    The problem of Nextgen Gallery jumping to the top of the thumbnail list, is present in Nextgen Pro Masonry

    So good job you didn’t purchase the pro version

    Imagely are aware of this problem and hopefully they will fix it soon?

    But nothing has been done about the problem
