Jump off home page to a sub page

  • Okay, my page keeps jumping from the home page to a sub page in my site; Featured short stories!!!

    I don’t know what to do, it seems that it think thats the main page. Everytime I’m reading something it will just push me back to the Featured short story page automatically after about 2 min.

    This is so frustrating to me and my users, can anyone help me fix this!!??

    The site seems to be working correctly. Can you elaborate a little more on the issue and let us know what browser you are using.

    I’m using Firefox. I’ll go to my page and maybe say, try to watch a video, but while I’m watching my page will just jump off of the home page onto the Featured Story page (Page #3)

    It might take a few minutes, but if you leave it it will jump!

    One of my users told me they got so frustrated trying to post a comment because the page kept jumping to the Featured story and he ended up not leaving one at all.

    The best description is that the only way I want people to go off of the home page is if they choose to. NOT automatically be bumped to the Featured story page – it seems to them like I’m trying to be pushy about them reading it and I don’t want that at all.

    People should be able to sit on the home page for as long as they want.

    Oh maybe jump is the wrong word, but it will LEAVE the Home page by itself while idling and just bring the user to the Featured story page.

    I only watched for about a minute, let me try leaving it alone for awhile and see what happens.

    Thanks a lot, I really appreciate it. I’ve been trying to solve this problem for awhile to no avail, but I’m not that techy of a person.

    Try getting rid of the meta-refresh header in header.php:

    <meta http-equiv="refresh" content="120; url=https://sashasfierce.com/?page_id=4">
