There also seems to be a few other pages affected still by this bug no rhyme or reason I can see.. others are just fine

@livingeasylivecom, which version of the plugin are you using? You have a link in the title and that’s what’s causing the issues. However, the plugin (since 2.8.1) strips tags before outputting the title in the structured data. I’ve just tried inserting a link in the title and all worked well. So, either you are using an older version of the plugin or
wp_strip_all_tags is for some reason not working on your website?

I am currently using 2.8.1 It works on all posts and pages except a few including the sample I have given you. I assure you I have done nothing fancy to that post to put HTML in there I even went in and edited the post since it was so old and resaved it hoping that would work. It has not. I left Yasr because he has the HTML problem in all posts and pages. So when I heard you have mastered this issue I switched over and pleasantly found it works on all pages and posts except a small few 4 or 5 it’s not working on. Hoping to get to the bottom of it since I have found that since I’m strictly in the Mobile 1st Index now schema errors have a tendency to send the page to the back end of the SERPS. I’m also using the most recent version of WordPress with the most recently updated Total theme

@livingeasylivecom, I hope we can figure out what’s causing the issue ?? So the problem is the name of the post in structured data – it’s basically a link. To get the name of the post the plugin uses the get_the_title() function. That function is wrapped into wp_strip_all_tags function which strips html tags – including link tag. So, to be honest I don’t know how come you have a link in the structured data, but I’m indeed curious ??

You said that there are only a few posts that are affected – do you see any patterns? Are they all custom post types? Do they have some data that others don’t etc.? By the way what is the title of the problematic post in the backend?

PS: I also can’t rate posts on your website, so something is for sure conflicting there. I see a lot of errors from disqus-conditional-load in the console.

    Blaz –

I found the Issue!! It was an internal linking program I had long forgotten I had installed and not working properly for a long time. so I had forgotten about it.

The name of the plugin was called SEO Auto links and that was what was putting HTML in titles of posts even though the anchor could not be seen or clickable! Problem solved!

BTW I made it so only logged in customers could vote!
