Instead of the analytics being opened inside a modal, it is opening at the bottom of the page and shows these errors:

So when you click on the Analytics menu at the top of any page on the site, the popup modal only loads at the very bottom of the page. Also, the page titles and screen name views are no longer reporting to Google Analytics and all traffic is now recorded as “not set”. This started occuring about a week ago.

The JavaScript error is also occurring within the plugin files. I initially thought the issue was related to SureCart, but it seems it is the Analytics Insights – Google Analytics Dashboard for WordPress plugin and I was redirected by SureCart to contact you.

When I uninstall or revert SureCart to an older version, the issue gets resolved.

Can you please take a look? Thank you.

Hi and thanks for the feedback.

Can you point me to the discussion with SureCart were the issue was discussed?

Since the plugin wasn’t updated recently and their update caused the issue I would like to see what’s their point of view. While seems improbable considering the timeline and updates it may be an Analytics Insights issue, which I doubt. If it’s indeed a Analytics Insights issue we’ll fix it.

    Thanks for your response, Alin.

Here’s the conversation I had with SureCart:

    SureCart:

I understand the issue you’re facing. However, the problem you’re reporting is caused by the Analytics Insights – Google Analytics Dashboard for WordPress plugin. The JavaScript error you mentioned is also occurring within the plugin files. There’s nothing from SureCart that can resolve this issue. I recommend reaching out to the plugin support for assistance with this.

    Me:

Hi Nodari. With SureCart uninstalled, the issue is not present. How is this caused by the Analyticcs plugin, then? It is caused by the latest SureCart version. Please explain your reasoning.

    SureCart:

I understand your point and you are right, but the issue is occurring in the third-party plugin, not in SureCart. In this case, it’s easier for the plugin support to identify such a problem. This could also be a setting-related conflict, so it’s a good idea to contact the plugin’s support.

Can you give me link of a page/post you’re having issues with to test it out?

IMHO, their plugin introduced a bug and I suspect that on pages you’re having the error there are some valid html tags missing.

Thanks so much Alin. I’d like to give you access to the staging site. Is there an email I can send the details to? We rolled back SureCart on the live site, but have the version causing the issue installed on the staging.

    Hi Alin,

I also received further details from SureCart regarding what could potentially be causing the issue:

Thank you for sharing the images detailing the issue you’re encountering. Based on what you’ve provided, it appears that the error stems from a file named reports6.min.js, which is associated with the Analytics Insights plugin, not SureCart. As this file is managed outside of our control, we’re unable to directly address or rectify the problem.

    Hi,

I will have a look today. From what I have seen so far, it seems that they introduced some pages/posts without a <title> tag or have manipulated this tag in such a way that crashes other plugins using it.

    (@deconf)

@investocrat as suspected above, the pages are missing the <title></title> tag. Probably is a bug in SureCart, I doubt it’s intentional. From a SEO perspective that’s actually a serious problem IMHO. Please contact SureCart about it.

I can fix the issue from our side, the page title is not mandatory on AIWP logic, but would be wise for them to fix it.
