JS Combine External N Inline Problem
-
Dear Admin and All,
Thought I’d create a thread and topic to alert all and get admins to do a check. I have been using WordPress and Litespeed Cache plugin for years now. So far no issues… until recently. As an introduction: my Litespeed Cache has auto-updates enabled. Whereas my WordPress page and all other plugins do NOT have auto-updates enabled.
All was working fine until one day about 1 to 8 weeks ago (not sure when exactly), I realized a problem. Because of the “autoupdate” settings mentioned above, I strongly suspect Litespeed Cache to be the culprit.
Basically, on my website, I have a sticky header menu created using HTML+CSS+JS. This sticky menu is present on both meide.sg and baby.meide.sg. Also, this sticky menu has a different presentation (and code) for certain “media screens” – to cater for mobile, tablet and desktop users.
The problem was that I realized that the sticky menu suddenly malfunctioned with MOBILE users. Desktop version was ok. Although the menu button was still present and sticky, whenever a user tries to click on the menu button, NO MENU appears. The menu button was spoilt. Interestingly, this problem was present throughout all pages of baby.meide.sg, but only present for only 1 page of meide.sg at meide.sg/career. All other pages of meide.sg was working ok.
After much investigation, I realized that the problem was likely a JS issue. Eventually, I solved it via going to:
WordPress >> Litespeed Cache Plugin Settings >> Page Optimization >> JS Settings >> JS Combine External and Inline —>> and then SWITCHING IT FROM ON to OFF.The issue here again is that I enabled auto-updates ONLY for litespeed cache. And this problem was not there before until recently. Hence, I hope the developers can take a look into what happened over the past few updates of this plugin which might have caused this issue. Hopefully when this is resolved, I can RE-ENABLE my JS Combine External and Inline again.
THank you!
