Request for moderator help please. Either wordpress core or easy updates manager moderators.

I think this might belong in the WordPress core forum Security>Hardening your site.

I can not find a way to make a post to that thread. And I am totally unfamiliar with how to post in the core forums.

Would a moderator please review this post and help me to get it to the right forum.

    Thank you.

Webpagetest.org has been acquired by cachepoint. A new test for security related to vulnerabilities in libraries used to produce the webpages in wordpress sites has been added. The test checks for latest versions of jquery libraries for example. There are also checks for security headers which is new to me.

A suggestion of adding upodates for vulnerabilities in libraries to easy updates so all updating is controlled in one plugin instead of having to add the jquery updater plugin to the plugin heap as I would have to do now.

If anyone is not familiar with https://www.webpagetest.org, I suggest you give it a try. More extensive than other testing plugins.

After looking at the two jquery updater plugins, I find this is a relatively complicated issue involving wordpress core updates where jquery usually gets updated. So I am going to close this thread and do some more study of the issue.

Does your question have some relationship to an issue with the Easy Updates Manager plugin? If not, then the forum for that plugin is not the right place to ask for help, unfortunately. (I am not a forum moderator; I do work on Easy Updates Manager).

It only relates to easy updates in this respect. If I install the jquery updater or similar plugin, will it be automatically added to the easy updates control panel?

I think this is more an issue for wordpress core forums but I cannot find a way to make a post in the Security forum under site hardening which is where I think it should go. Very frustrating.

All installed plugins can have their updates managed in Easy Updates Manager, yes.
