Jquery slideshow

I’ve been advised to use a jQuery based slideshow on my WP.org blog. I looked at WOW slider but it didn’t work with my photos bc it was horizontal based and sometimes my pics are vertical.

Do you have recommendations for a true slideshow instead of a slider. Something to showcase photos at either vertical or horizontal orientation.

jQuery was recommended for SEO and the ability to tag each photo.
