I get this error on the developer console inside the wordpress dashboard admin > plugins. And I am unable to deactivate swift cache because of this. And other plugins as well, but sometimes it works. I can randomly deactivate/activate other plugins… meaning sometimes I can activate/deactivate them, sometimes not and I need to click a hundred times or refresh the page and at some point it may or may not work. However, I can never disable swift cache itself.

The only way I was able to disable cache is with “wp plugin deactivate swift-performance-lite” with ssh.

When I have disabled swift cache with the above command, I could then normally activate/deactivate other plugins as well.

Most likely it is caused by a plugin conflict.

Did you set some exclusions/rules in Plugin Organizer? If so, if you remove them, does that solve your issue?

If not, this article may be helpful.

Thanks for the quick response. I have deleted the settings I had in the plugin organizer module and indeed this solves the issue. It seems it’s better if I don’t use this module at all.

Enabling or disabling plugins can have catastrophic affects on your site. It can cause issues with plugins and can render your site inaccessible. In our documentation we have a general warning, but it might a good idea to add this also in Swift Plugin Organizer itself. Thanks for letting us know.

    Hello,

I am experiencing this Problem too, i do not exclude a Plugin Action in Swift.
The Page you posted lands on 404 by now.
My backend is partially broken because of that. Please look into it.

    Thank you.

I deactivated all plugins, except swift, and the error still occurs.
    I’m using jQuery + migrate / 1.4.1
The error appears under the “Show tooltips” comment in scripts.js at line 713.

I tried to block the script from loading, and the problems i have with another plugin still occur, so the erroring script doesnt seem to be the cause to this.
Yet you should probably still fix it or make this more robust.
