    Following the upgrade to WP 5.6, we have installed the Enable jQuery Migrate Helper plugin:

    Hi @pairfumlondon,

    The WordPress team has made changes to the way it handles jQuery in recent versions. The Enable jQuery Migrate Helper plugin can be used to fix broken functionality caused by those changes. The plugin will also report on deprecated code; this is something all plugin authors will repeatedly address in their own respective plugins.

    You can follow along with the most current discussion about jQuery compatibility in this issue in the WooCommerce GitHub repository.

    For now, it’s nothing to be concerned about.

    Dear @tijosh

    Many thanks for this update.

    What we notice is that our website at the front & back end slows down dramatically when we upgrade to WP’s default version of JQuery.

    Additionally, some of the payment gateways stop working, e.g. PayPal.

    Hence, for the time being we have to downgrade to 1.12.4 of JQuery.
