• Hi, I came across this when I inspect my homepage

“Update your jQuery! (1.9+)”,”update_jquery_long”:”Your WordPress install is running a version of jQuery older than 1.9. This means Microthemer can’t retrieve the existing computed CSS values elements on your web page. Please update to the latest version of WordPress (which should also update jQuery). If this doesn’t help please check your code for any functions that deregister the default version of jQuery. You can ask Themeover to help you with this. Thanks.”

Could anybody help me, what should I do? Update the jQuery?

    Thanks.

    Hello again HannaBee,

I realise that I’m so late to the party that you’ve probably already reached a decision about this. I hope you upgraded jQuery. We advise this because, over time, not allowing WordPress to enqueue it’s default (up-to-date) version of jQuery leads to problems with more and more plugins. Not just Microthemer.

Please let me know if you need any assistance finding the code in your theme that de-registers the default version of jQuery.

    Thanks,
    Sebastian
