jquery 1.12.4 to jQuery 3.5.1

    Hello.
    Is it possible to upgrade jquery 1.12.4 to jQuery 3.5.1? Or is it necessary to do it progressively? Do I have to update each version until I get to the latest jQuery 3.5.1? Or do I just update it to the latest version and is it? Also what happens if the website breaks?

    you could try my plugin and in case something breaks disable it again without permanent damage
