.jpg not uploading

our site, canyouid.me is a state wide collection of photos of people of interest to our police department. Today, when we try to upload a photo, after hitting the upload key, the screen goes blank and the photo never uploads.

I thought this might be a problem with our hosting site but they checked and seem to think this is a wordpress issue. Has anyone else encountered a problem like this? If so how did you resolve it.

I am not a master coder. I am hoping this is something i can manipulate from within the console?
