Joing then automatically post?

    I was curious; is there a way to allow users to join a WordPress powered website, and then automatically give them the ability to post content – which would go into a moderation queue?

    I’m quite happy with WordPress, and if I have the opton to do this – with a plugin or built in feature – I will gladly switch back again to WordPress.

  • Actually, you can.
    Set the new user’s default role to contributor (Options > General) and let anyone register. They will be able to write/edit their own post, but not to publish –> which means the posts are “drafts” that a higher level user (ediotr, admin) has to approve for publishing.
