    Hi Deepen,

I just found a little issue with the join via browser link: You are using the website’s URL to open the Zoom-Session. If the website does not have a valid SSL-certificate, this does not work.

Workaround: first click join via app on your buttons and the use the “join via browser” on the page at zoom.

Would be better to get directly there though.

Amazing work of your and thanks a lot for the great initiative.

    Greetings from Vienna,
    Peter

    Hi @ginspet

Current version of join via browser embeds the Zoom webSDK into the site without needing to go into zoom site. So, if SSL is not activated an error message is shown as you might already know.

However, i do not think it’s a feasible workaround as people will eventually be redirected to zoom. Main purpose of Join via browser is to hide or avoid main zoom interface but yes users can customize this functionality based on their needs.

    Hi Deepen,

unfortunately it what not working. I do not only get the error message, but also opening the connection is not possible. It seems like zoom blocks any access to a meeting from an “insecure” site.

Via the described workdound it works immediately.

Is there any switch to change this behavior? SSL costs extra for the hosting and until now this was the only reason to switch this on.

    Cheers,
    Peter

    Hi @ginspet ,
There are free SSL alternate out there such as https://letsencrypt.org/.
Most hosting providers now provide free SSL so please consider that mode.
