• Situation:
    I use Video Conferencing with Zoom plugin (free version) with LearnDash.
    In my use case, the host is typically using the Zoom app on their computer, and users join the Zoom meeting via the embedded ’Join via a browser’ block

    Issue:
    -The preview shows the user’s video fine. Once the meeting starts, the user video stream goes black.
    -Video/camera permissions are allowed on the computer and the browser.
    -The host (who is using the Zoom app) CAN see participants’ videos

    What I’ve tried so far:
    -updated all plugins on my site, updated browsers
    -uninstalled and reinstalled the Video Conferencing w/ Zoom plugin
    -I’ve tried three different API connections (I have three Zoom accounts)
    -Tried on multiple browsers, cleared cache on browsers: Chrome, Edge
    **Interestingly, video camera DOES work in Safari and Firefox
    -This functioned correctly about ~4 weeks ago

    My client uses primarily Edge, and allows Chrome for their employees. I do need this to function on Chrome for an event this week for my client.

    Does anyone have any insight? Potential solutions or even additional troubleshooting suggestions? Thanks in advance!!

    One more thing to add — if I Join the meeting via Browser directly in the browser (so outside of the embedded frame), the video DOES work.

    This leads me to believe that there is an issue with the plugin/embed feature, and not with the Join via Browser feature with Zoom.

    Oct 11th update – I’ve upgraded to Pro in hopes of resolving this issue – no luck.

    Yes i am aware of some issues occurring when using embedding solution – I will see if i can resolve this asap.

    Does anyone have any recommendations for a workaround? I would like users to join via browser (not the Zoom app).
