“Join 129,964 other subscribers”…but I only have 147

    I have the “Blog Subscriptions (Jetpack)” widget active on all my posts. I’ve noticed in the past few months that instead of displaying the actual number of subscribers, it displays a massively large amount. It went from about 130 to 130,000 overnight.

    Currently it is displayed as the value “129,964”, both on the posts and in the widget configuration screen.

    If I got to my Jetpack settings and click “View e-mail followers”, it says there are 147 and only lists this number of addresses, which is about the number I am expecting.

    Jetpack’s total subscription number now include any followers that you have from your social media accounts that are connected to Publicize.

    I hope that clears things up.
