• I have had my Web Developer install the plugin on my website. However, it doesn’t consistently work. Most recently, it hasn’t been showing any job postings. Can you assist with resolving this issue?

    Hello –

It doesn’t look like the plugin is currently activated on that page. Please answer the following:

1.) After you installed WP Talroo, did you select the page that you’d like the jobs to display on?

2.) Did you make sure to enter your API credentials in the plugin settings?

I apologize for the delayed response. I didn’t personally install the plugin. I had my Web Designer do it, but she has had to look at the settings several times because plugin randomly stops working. It will briefly work until it goes out again.

    Hi –

I’m assuming the plugin has either been deactivated or deleted, as I don’t see any reference to the WP Talroo plugin on the page you mentioned previously.

Please ask your developer to reactivate the plugin and let me know so I can take a look at it.

    Thanks!

I just looked on the back-end of my website and the plugin is currently activated even though it is not displaying the jobs on the actual page.

In the settings for WP Talroo, what page did you specify for the section named Page to display jobs on:?

I just checked the Talroo settings. It appears that the Publisher ID and Password need to be entered and the page has not been selected for the jobs to be displayed. I will try entering this information and see if that resolves the issue.

I was able to update the settings but it is only displaying in wpadmin account. It does not display the jobs when I try to visit the site as a regular user even though I have saved changes in the admin setting.

When you say it’s displaying in wpadmin account, do you mean that while you’re logged in it’s displaying?

Are you using any kind of page caching or caching plugins? If so, try clearing your cache and avoid caching the page that displays job data.

Try deactivating all plugins one-by-one to see if one of them may be causing the problem.

Another suggestion is to try modifying your permalinks to see if that helps. Right now you’re using the default permalink structure.

Let me know if these suggestions help.

Yes, it displays while I am logged into my wpadmin account, but when I log out, the page does not display.

I don’t think that the web designer used any caching plugins for the site. I’m reading through the various plugins and none of them mention anything about caching.
I don’t want to deactivate any plugins that could mess up the site, but I will try your suggestions.

I have tried your suggestions, but the plugin is still not working outside of my wpdmin account.

Have you received any errors in your PHP Error Log? If you’re not sure where that’s at, you’ll need to talk to your developer about that.

Deactivating plugins shouldn’t mess up your site. There’s a difference between deactivating and deleting a plugin. Deactivating still leaves the plugin installed with settings in place, but WordPress will not use the plugin until it’s activated. If you’re able to deactivate all plugins temporarily except for WP Talroo and test it out, it would be helpful. This process takes less than a minute to do.

My web designer used Elementor to design the website. That is only plugin that appears to affect the display of jobs. When I deactivate the plugin, the jobs do not show up, but they display when I activate it. However, as I mentioned, I can only see the display in my wpadmin account.

Did you look through your PHP Error logs to see if there were any errors?

Please try temporarily switching themes to one of the WordPress themes that comes installed (i.e. “2019”) and see if that helps. You can quickly switch back to the Neve theme you’re currently using afterwards.

WP Talroo is currently deactivated as I’m typing this, so it’s a bit hard to troubleshoot. One thing I did notice before is that if you look in the debug console, there was a file being blocked. I’m not sure if this is related or not. Your developer should be able to determine this. In the Chrome browser you can see this by going to More Tools -> Developer Tools -> Console. Make sure WP Talroo is activated on the page you’re trying to debug.

I just temporarily switched the themes and now my website’s layout is messed up on mobile and tablet mode. Switching the theme also did not resolve the issue.

OK, what about the PHP Error log and the debug console in Chrome? Any errors there?
