  • Hi AstridF,

I do not believe there is a method to sort via job category without hardcoding it into the plugin.

What you could do possibly though, is create a new ‘Job Form’ field, call it Category. Then for each job enter in the category value you wish to sort by. Then in your job list shortcode, edit in a class name for the category field value and have it be either super tiny font size, invisible etc. (or display it like normal if it is something you wish applicants to see).

Then you can select this ‘Custom Field: Category’ in the sorting drop down inside Display Settings for the plugin.

This is all theoretically though and what I would try first to get that kind of sorting without editing the plugin.

Categories is a basic feature of Job manager is easy to set-up.

A review of your site looks like you figured it out. Marking this as resolved.
