    Hello,

Just starting using WP Job Manager and we like it a lot. I need to create an account for the HR Director to access the Jobs Dashboard to see all jobs listed, applications, etc. Is there a way to configure the Jobs Dashboard to show ALL jobs posted, not just the jobs that user posted?

Or is the best course of action to create an account for the HR Director and have he access the Jobs via the Admin control panel for WordPress?

    Hi @ccsoregon

The best course of action would be to use a third party plugin that will allow the HR Director to quickly swap between user accounts. This plugin is called User Switching.

    Hope this helps!

    Best,

    Thank you Alba,

I’m trying to keep the HR director out of the WordPress website, I don’t need extra people with Admin access in there with the ability to make changes, etc.

Even as Admin I cannot see the jobs posted by others, so that’s a problem. Perhaps WP Job Manager just won’t work for us, I’ve messed around with it all I can but I think I’ve ran into it’s limits.

    Hi again,

Thanks for sending in your feedback. I have submitted your idea to our developers for WP Job Manager as an enhancement request.

Please feel free to contact us if you have any other questions.

Hi ! I have the same problem. I configured everything and purchased the applications addon. The plugin is really what I was looking for but what a deception when i found out that, on the front-end dashboard, only the one that posted an offer can see these offers and its applications, no other can see it even with a wordpress account. It makes no sense to me. I’d like to have, for example, the ability to let editors or contributors see the listings and edit applications posted by an admin. is it possible ? Please add this feature. thanks

From what I can tell it’s only possible if you set them up as Admins, then they have all the keys to the kingdom, which of course raises many other issues/concerns.

I have seen some plugins for user managers, I was able to use an email plugin to solve another issue with this which was as the admin for the site all job applications were coming to me, not HR. That is now fixed. I will check for any plugins that might let me create a new type of user account with admin level access but with the ability to block/hide other parts of the site.

@ccsoregon I used User Role to give access to applications to the role i wanted (editor for example). But now i’m looking how to get the meta into the post content…I’m close to something, overwriting some templates…but it’s not perfect, i would like to use the job dashboard on the front end.. In my case, there will be 10-15 people who need access to applications. One solution is to create ONE account with the access, attribute each offer to this account and share it to the 10-15 people, but i’m not sure my client will be okay with that because he wants to know who did what about each application…

The whole point of switching to an app like this was to streamline this and make our internal job board much cleaner. Our old one was just posts and after a few rows it was a mess, this is VERY clean and easy to search for jobs by location, etc. I really like the front end for the HR recruiter, she can post jobs much easier now with way less steps to remember.

I had been promoting the Jobs Dashboard to the HR Director who is very excited, and then ran into this issue and I truly do NOT want to give them admin access to the site.

I’ll look into User Role, thank you for that! If I could just give them access to the Jobs and Applications inside the WP Dashboard, I’d be dancing.

@ccsoregon Yes this is the one… you can create a role or use one existing, then you can choose what it will be able to do. I have selected all actions related to job applications and i can have an admin with only Job Manager and Applications available. So be prepared to dance all night long !

But i still need front end job dashboard for every users. I’ve also promoted this to my client as the best solution :/

Yes all jobs showing up on the Jobs Dashboard seems like something many people using this would want, I just don’t see why it would be limited to only showing the jobs I post. Of course this wouldn’t be a HUGE issue as the main person for HR posting jobs is the recruiter, so she can see all her jobs. But to get this setup, I posted all the jobs from our old one not to overwhelm her, so she cannot see any of those now.

I’m just the IT guy, not HR, so I was looking for something NON IT but HR focused, and WP Job Manager has gotten us to a MUCH better place. I’ll lace up my dancing shoes and go get that plugin.

Yes in your case there is only one person on this task, but for me there is at least 10 people who want to see the applications ! Let’s dance ??

Well if I figure anything out you’ll be the first I tell @damiencharles

Thanks @ccsoregon and me too if i find something to do with the PHP. Maybe @gaurav984 will give us some good news about that.

@damiencharles that is a SLICK plugin, so easy to use and I already have it up and running for HR, only limited to the Jobs page and Job Application page, this is AWESOME thank you so much!!!
