Job “Job with ID 1” has started, but not responded for 10 seconds.

I have just looked at my Dropbox and realized in horror that no backups have been created since 27th of December. When I try to run the job manually, it gives error “Job “Job with ID 1” has started, but not responded for 10 seconds”.
What can be the cause of this problem?
