    Hi there,
    i keep getting this error message: Job has started, but not responded for 10 seconds
    Can you help me please?
    I don’t know, what to do. I updated the plugin on latest version, deleted all old backups on the server – always the same message.

    Hello @fod85
    Seems there is a permission issue, BackWPUp can’t create files, please try change your uploads folder permission (in wp-content) to 775 or even 777 (add write permission), then run the job again.

    (@fod85)

    HI, Thank you for your quick reply. I was able to change the permission to 770 (the hosting support told me, i would not need 777 because of some reason he explained but I forgot meanwhile…)
    It is still not working. Could you have a look please?

    The permission is still 493. So the owner is not allowed to do anything but read. But anyone else can write and execute. This does not make any sense. Looks to me like you may have been hacked.

    Hello @fod85
    hmm seems strange, according to the server info, wp-cron access is working fine, could you please help me to change permission 777 of every folder start with backwpup-* in your wp-content/uploads folder? Then run the job again.
    Thank you!

    You mean changing the permission of the 3 backwpup-files, right? I did it but nothing changed:

    Hello @fod85
    hmm the issue really strange :/
    Please help us try the following:
    modify wp-config.php ( you can find this file in your root directory ), and BEFORE the line:
    /* That’s all, stop editing! Happy blogging. */
    add this line:
    define('ALTERNATE_WP_CRON' , true );

    After that, the Alternative WP Cron should be Enabled in your BackWPUp server info

    (@fod85)

    Hi @duongcuong96
    the code you gave me breaks my entire site. I tried twice to be sure that’s not my fault.

    Plugin Support happyAnt

    (@duongcuong96)

    @fod85
    so you have added the code incorrectly ??
    It has to be something like this: https://prnt.sc/15q1ukf
    After that, you will see Alternate WP-Cron enabled in BackWPUp server info: https://prnt.sc/15q1ynk

    Thread Starter fod85

    (@fod85)

    Hi @duongcuong96
    alright, there was a mistake in the Code which was send to me by email. It was: define('ALTERNATE_WP_CRON' , true );
    I inserted the correct code now and was able to do a backup but when opening it, I got an error message saying “error 2 – no file and no folder exists”
    https://your-local-hero.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/06/Bildschirmfoto-2021-06-18-um-10.37.35.png
    And I found the other backups, apparently the plugin makes a backup every day:
    https://your-local-hero.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/06/Bildschirmfoto-2021-06-18-um-10.37.58.png
    I planed a weekly backup every monday but it keeps losing my inputs.
    I tried to open one of the older backups – same error message.

    (@fod85)

    Hi @duongcuong96 do you have any idea how to solve this issue?

    @duongcuong96 are you still there?

    (@duongcuong96)

    @fod85 sorry about the delayed response, could you please try download directly these backup files in your wp-content/uploads/backwpup-*-backups, using FTP or your cPanel file manager, after that can you open the archive correctly?
    Thank you!

    (@fod85)

    @duongcuong96 this is working. I see all files.

    @fod85
    okay, so there is something wrong with the download, please try the download again with another browser like Chrome / Firefox, can you open the file normally after that?
    Thank you!
