Hello. I am trying to run a backup job, and it immediately fails with the on-screen error message, “Cannot create folder: /var/www/html/kabultec.org/wp-content/uploads/backwpup-1b50a2-logs” (screenshot). How can I troubleshoot/resolve this? Here is some more info.

The process seems to have already been able to create a separate folder, in the desired directory, named backwpup-1b50a2-temp (screenshot).

I have followed these steps and explicitly created the desired folder, with permissions 755. But when I tried to run the job, it failed in the same manner.

There is nothing in the PHP error log.

    Thanks in advance.

I was able to resolve my issue. In my case, I did so by opening Settings–>Log, and specifying a correct, relative, path for the ‘Log file folder’ field.

What was the previous value of the field “Log file folder”, and what did you put instead ?

Sorry, I didn’t note the previous value of the field. It started with something like /var/www and it ended with uploads/backwpup-1b50a2-logs/

The new value I entered was:

    uploads/backwpup-1b50a2-logs/

you also got the same issue?
@carlgross yes that correct, you will need to enter relative path

Well, my issue looked similar ; that’s why I asked.
I posted a question in the forum for my concern.
But unlike Carl Gross, my field “Log file folder” was by default properly set “default/bacwpup-xxxxxx-logs/”. So my issue is definitely not the same.
