    my site seems to be working fine except jetpack?site stats are very significantly lwower than what they should be and have been for at least 12 hours. (like one tenth of what they should be)

    example : I look in google analytics at the stats for this post which i made today https://the5krunner.com/2020/09/30/october-2020-sports-watch-update/ and what is shown in Google analytics is ten times higher than what is seen in my wordpress install.

    my hosting company says nothing has recently changed and everything seems ok

    Hi there,

    Jetpack stats and Google Analytics use different methods to identify and track activity on your site, so it is possible to have discrepancies like this from time to time. I have not seen any widespread reports of delayed stats on Jetpack on this end, and I don’t see any specifics issues with your site when I check here: https://tools.jetpack.com/debug/?url=https://the5krunner.com

    Generally speaking, you can expect Google Analytics and Jetpack stats to always show slightly different totals for your visits, views, etc. However, you will be able to notice the same trends and patterns in both systems. Do things improve or remain the same after you let a full 24 hours pass?

    this does sometiems happen when i first log in and the total is wrong
    it always soon recotifies itself (apart form the time above when I commented)

    i had assumed it was something to do with different time zones.
