jetpack.wordpress.com refused to connect.

Hello,

I had jetpack activated and connected to my wordpress site previously. Trying to debug a css issue I was facing I went through my plugins and deactivated them one by one. While trying to activate jetpack, I am no longer able to connect my wordpress site. The plugin is active but when I go to the jetpack console and click on connect to wordpress, I am brought to a browser error page that says:

jetpack.wordpress.com refused to connect.

Any ideas on how to resolve this. Thank you!
