• Hello all. I have seen and read a number of posts on similar instances to this but none of them have helped me get past it. Its quite a mystery to me why this is happening as, I hate to say it, it was working fine since 2012 when i first did the install.

Your website needs to be publicly accessible to use Jetpack: site_inaccessible
Error Details: The Jetpack server was unable to communicate with your site [HTTP 404]. Ask your web host if they allow connections from WordPress.com. If you need further assistance, contact Jetpack Support: https://jetpack.me/support/

    The site is https://hoppersbar.com

Current Setup is WordPress 4.1.1 using Genesis and theme Amped – the only plugins installed (and active) are Jetpack, Google Calendar Events, and Wp-Cycle.

I did a file by file reinstall of wordpress – no joy
Made sure XMLRPC.php was in place and not being interfered with – it seems to be
Did a manual reinstall of Jetpack

When i first discovered the problem it was connected fine but would not allow facebook to connect via publicize – in trying to troubleshoot that I disconnected jetpack from wordpress and now the whole thing wont connect.

Any thoughts ot suggestions would be appreciated.

p.s. A last sort of ancillary question and thought – is there some kind of cache file that wordpress or jetpack creates on the server or otherwise that i dont know about – something i could have my ISP clear out?
