I’ve looked around quite a bit for reasons why Jetpack will no longer recognize my site. I’ve recently installed a Comodo cert so browsers won’t see security errors. I was trying to figure out why Jetpack wasn’t able to monitor my site, and in the process I disconnected Jetpack from my site and then tried to connect it again. I read that WP-Spamshield interferes some with Jetpack, so I disabled it temporarily. When I tried to connect Jetpack again, I got the following error:

Your website needs to be publicly accessible to use Jetpack: site_inaccessible
Error Details: The Jetpack server was unable to communicate with your site https://www.overhauleden.com
[IXR -32300: transport error: http_request_failed SSL certificate problem: unable to get local issuer certificate]

I made sure that xmlrpc.php is present and has the same permissions as other files in .htdocs.

Note: I tried updating from v3.8.1 to v3.8.2. No change.

Where do I go from here?

    Thanks!

Something seems wrong with your SSL certificate. You can find out more about it here:
    https://www.ssllabs.com/ssltest/analyze.html?d=overhauleden.com

The main issue here is the incomplete certificate chain on the server. Solving that issue will bring your grade to A, and most likely fix that Jetpack issue.

I’d recommend forwarding this issue to your hosting provider and asking them to take a look.

    I hope this helps.

Thank you so much for your help! My host doesn’t allow me to control this directly, so I’ve submitted a helpdesk ticket.
