When site has WPML (two or more languages) the Jetpack think that every other language is different website and force to run in Safe mode. Is this on purpose? It used to work somewhere long before Jetpack 5. Now its problem…

Does this continue with Jetpack 5.2? We merged https://github.com/Automattic/jetpack/pull/5852 to attempt to account for that.

The root problem is that WordPress is providing a different URL as that site’s URL, which isn’t matching what Jetpack is expecting that site’s URL. Since you have the same website running on different URLs, Jetpack is trying to play it safe to not do anything surprising. This has come up most often with development sites (someone clones their site to a separate location for the purposes of development/testing) and then a test post on the other site is sent off to subscribers, etc.

To be honest I am scared to do update. Each update = so many bugs. I will wait and maybe do update later. I am also thinking to disable and remove Jetpack for good. I need only few functions in fact which can be substituted by other plugins.
