    Hi

what is the difference between Jetpack and WordPress subscriptions? I was not able to make them work. Jetpack subs sent confirmation mail, but when trying to confirm, it was declined saying it is either expired or the e-mail is not in the system or something. And then WordPress subscription went to the “subscriber” in the Team section, not e-mail followers.

    Thamk you in advance

    Hello!
The difference between Jetpack and WordPress subscriptions is that with Jetpack – subscribers will be collected to Jetpack subscription list, and with WordPress – plugin will create new users(subscribers) in your WordPress. To find them go to Users tab on the left navigation menu of WordPress. Each profile of subscriber contains information about user email.

In any case, if you cannot configure popup subscription – contact us through our?internal support and describe in details the issue. We will check what is wrong and will help you to solve the problem.

Thanks for the reply. The problems remains so that the subscribers, as I tested it with my own e-mail, can not confirm the subscription when I select Jetpack(e-mail) following option. But I can send this to your e-mail too if it’s easier for you to handle.

Update: The WordPress subscription works, but that’s not what I want. I don’t want any extra users for my site, but to collect e-mail list of people who wants to get notice when new content comes up, but now they can not subscribe or their e-mail is not collected because they can not confirm it..

    Hi!
The confirmation of subscription depends on Jetpack funstionality. Therefore you need to contact Jetpack developers and describe them the issue. They will help you to solve the issue.

Hi, I got reply from Jetpack support and they admitted it is bug on their side.

Quote:”…To be clear, this will not affect subscribers whose subscription email address matches the one on their WordPress.com account, subscribers who are logged out of WordPress.com, and of course subscribers with no WordPress.com account”

I tested it logging out from WordPress and my Dashboard and it works now.

Thank you for good plug in!
