Ok, When updating Jetpack there appears to be major issues either with the latest Jetpack edition of Brute Force lockout being added to Jetpack or something similar.

All I did was update Jetpack, as you do, then once it had updated started showing a line of code across the top of my site for all to see.

This is what I get …..

Warning: array_push() expects parameter 1 to be array, null given in /home/something/public_html/wp-content/plugins/jetpack/modules/omnisearch/omnisearch-posts.php on line 17

I mean what is that? As a web designer I expect that when I’m given instructions to “Update” Jetpack of all plugins, then it should work straight up, as the builders are spot on guys / gals, right?

Please someone, if you have any ideas on how to fix this then let me know or post till your hearts content on this topic.

    Not a good look Jetpack!

I also updated and now get this
Fatal error: Call to undefined function wp_get_current_user() in /home/inamin5/public_html/pintangle.com/wp-includes/capabilities.php on line 1356

when I refresh I can see the site but it happens when ever I try to save anything

I tried to back up and that failed so very very tense about this and have no idea how to fix it so have deactivated jetpack until fixed

Deactivating Jetpack also enabled me to run a back up.

It’s best to report these problems to the Jetpack forum directly.

Yes #Sharonb I had to rename the Jetpack folder via FTP due to not being able to login to the WP Admin to un-install.

I renamed the folder to _Jetpack that way it’s still there, just not being called by any .php call from any theme or WordPress core.

Hi #Bill There’s a Jetpack forum. Cool. I’m headed there now.

Thank you for posting the link to the new thread here. Go ahead and mark this one resolved so it doesn’t confuse anyone.

And @sharonb, you may want to post your own thread there as well just to be sure. Your issues may not be the same anyway.
