    Hi,

I searched forum but I couldn’t found a question and a answer fitting my need.
I’m going to reinstall my wordpress in order to be used with my new theme. The domain will remain the same.
When done I’ll reinstall JetPack I want my stats and my subscriber kept. Some years ago, when I did the same operation, all of that were gone…
How can I make JetPack new installation continuing using the same Blog UniqueID ?
    Thanks in advance
    Simone

    Jetpack Mechanic ??

As long as your site URL remains the same, your stats and subscribers will follow along and will appear on the new site as soon as you connect Jetpack to WordPress.com.

To make sure nothing bad happens during the transfer, here is what I would suggest:

    1. Start by disconnecting and reconnecting Jetpack to WordPress.com on your old site right now, to force an update of your Jetpack settings. This way you’ll be sure that your current Jetpack settings match your current site URL. You can disconnect your site from WordPress.com thanks to the link at the bottom of the Jetpack menu page.
    2. When you start working on your new site, do not connect Jetpack to WordPress.com until your site URL is the final one.

That should help. If you experience any issues, let me know and I’ll be there to help you get things fixed!

    Thanks so much…
is this valid even if I’ll made a fresh install ? I mean, I’ll delete the database, create a new one and I’ll install last realease of wordpress. I’ll even change the permalink structure None of the old installation will remain … When I’ll reconnect Jetpack, will all data follow the new installation ?
    Thanks again

Yes. That data is linked to your site URL. As long as that doesn’t change, nothing bad will happen. You can change everything else, you won’t lose any data from WordPress.com.
