Jetpack Tiled Galleries Not Showing in Gallery Options

It could be because your theme customizes the default WordPress gallery shortcode, thus breaking other plugins that hook into WordPress Galleries, like Jetpack’s Tiled Galleries.

Could you try to switch to one of the default themes for a few minutes, and let me know if it helps?

Ashutosh, in Settings>media it only gives me options for “Image Gallery Carousel” nothing shows at all for “Tiled Galleries” in Settings>media

Jeremy, I switched to one of the default themes and Tiled Galleries and everything worked fine. I can’t and don’t want to change my theme though. How do I keep the same theme and fix the issue?

@crazyintherain – You will need to contact your theme developer for guidance on disabling their customizations to the default WordPress Gallery Shortcode.

Since your theme has modified the behavior of that shortcode, Tiled Galleries through Jetpack won’t work because your theme is overriding the default that we hook into in order to display the gallery properly. Your only other option would be to find an alternative theme that hasn’t modified the default shortcode – as you’ve seen when Jeremy had you try a default theme above, the galleries worked.
