    Hi Emma,

This isn’t currently possible, but thanks for the suggestion! I’ll pass it on to the developers. One work-around that you can use for now is to deactivate the subscriptions module before publishing the post that you want to exclude, then reactivate it after it’s been published. You won’t lose any of your subscribers, and your subscribers won’t recieve any posts that are published while the module is deactivated.

    Hope that helps!

Richard, is it possible to add a button to the post page that will automate that task? For example, to the right of the post button, add a button that says “publish but don’t email.”

I’m afraid Jetpack doesn’t include such an option.

Is there any way this can be requested to be developed? I would also use this feature.

Also, disabling the subscribe add-on before each publishing each post isn’t really an option, is it? You would have to deactivate the entire plugin, right?

You could use the jetpack_is_post_mailable filter to automatically exclude certain posts from being sent to your subscribers.

It is an option. You can follow the instructions here to learn how to deactivate a Jetpack module:

    I hope this helps.

    You’ve been helpful, thanks!

Thanks for the help. Developers make an application from, which is a basic functionality. Thank you.
