• Hello,
I just updated Jetpack to the version 2.8 and did a random check to see if the blog subscriptions still work, but they don’t work anymore.

When I use random e-mails (from many different services like gmail, hotmail, yopmail etc) no mails are sent to confirm the subscription.

It worked as expected until now.
I disconnected and connected again my wordpress.com account, (de)activated the extension, emptied the W3 total cache page cache and still nothing.
    Please any help ?

Deactived Cloudflare CDN, emptied all w3 total cache modules, disconnected and reconnected to wordpress.com, reinstalled jetpack and still nothing. All i did was to upgrade to the latest jetpack version.
Please any help ? Do i need to downgrade jetpack version ?

    Hi there,

I just signed up with a Google Apps account, and I got the email to confirm immediately. I can investigate for you what is going on with the various email addresses you have tried. To that end, it may be best to contact us directly so we can continue by email, instead of posting the email addresses here:

Hello, thanks for your support, it looks like it is working with mail coming from another domain.
I read in another thread that if a mail was sent once, it is not sent anymore.
And maybe you disabled yomail.com e-mails (I used some to test).
Anyway, it worked also on my side from another mail coming from another domain. So I think its okay now.

Ok, I will mark this thread as resolved, but if you do want to investigate exactly what’s up with those particular email addresses, feel free to contact us directly, as I mentioned.

I discovered today that you don’t have to have the minify aspects of WP Total Cache turned on. It blocks subscriptions of Jetpack from working. I didn’t even have to disable all plugins. I did Total Cache first — and amazingly, subscriptions started working again.

I’m off to find another “cache” plugin. Oh — it appears this was failing across ALL three of my sites.

    Hi idogenealogy,

That’s the first time I hear of that plugin causing issues with the subscriptions module; minifying can sometimes cause problems with javascript-heacvy modules like Likes or Tiled Galleries, but I’m not sure why you’d have this issue with subscriptions. If you’d like to continue the conversation in this regards, could you please start your own thread, as per the Forum Welcome?

    Thank you!
