Honestly, I’m not sure since I’m not familiar with the inner workings of Jetpack subscriptions. PSC tries to operate at the lowest level possible by intercepting the $wpdb object, but if a plugin is bypassing that (making custom queries, for example) then there’s nothing that can be done.

    Thanks for the reply.

I would imagine that Jetpack subscription uses the same functionality as the hosted service as Jetpack is WordPress’ own set of services for self hosted installations.

Is this something you would consider investigating given that it’s a fairly significant security flaw in a system using a WordPress authored plugin, not just a random subscription plug in?

I have a work around by using another subscription plug in and preventing it from sending that category but it is a clunky solution and means that those posts are not always seen by their intended viewers.

    Thanks,
