• My Jetpack stats kept giving the error

We were unable to get your stats just now. Please try again.

So I decided to deactivate and reactivate the Jetpack plugin.
Now it still gives the same error, and when I click on ‘site stats’ I see it has erased all stats from the past months ?? ??

how can I fix this and get everything back & working?

  • Here not working yet.
I can only see today stats :/

I’m on 3.2.1 and Jetpack 1.2.2 and hosted at GoDaddy. Win Vista 32 and Chrome (auto-updating).

A couple of weeks ago I upgraded to Jetpack Stats. I had a password problem. Changing the password got that fixed. Things worked fine for a week or so. Now for about a week I’ve gotten the error We were unable to get your stats just now. Please try again.

The error comes up pretty quickly on the main admin dashboard page. Going to Jetpack->Site Stats never gives an error or shows the stats. The ‘W’ in progress graphics shows for as long as I’ll let it run.

    Help…

My stats stopped do not appear for November on one blog, and are missing November and December for another blog as soon as I began using JetPack. What was wrong with the old stats, why did I need to upgrade to this feature, so that WordPress could track my statistics? There also seems to be no technical improvements to the “JetPack” statistics over the standard statistics I have been using for years in WordPress.

I am pretty unhappy with it, it seems like more a move Microsoft would pull, a limited value or negative value feature, which puts them in control. Its also very Microsoft like in that JetPack does not appear to have been properly tested. I have spent hours playing around with JetPack statistic now, and see absolutely no benefit. Can I have my old stats back WordPress?

@supersnap, even though my stats are working (about 90% of the time), I am in agreement with you. The main “features” of jetpack seem to be a bundle of mostly free utilities that I wouldn’t want to implement in an all-inclusive plugin and a couple of paid utilities for which I have no use.

The admin dashboard widget, although merely a convenience, is unreliable, at best. Having to click through to the main JetPack dashboard to view what ALWAYS worked with the old plugin in wp-admin is a P-I-T-A. ??

I don’t expect that anyone will resurrect the old stats plugin just because the new one doesn’t work but I wanted to show a little solidarity.

Now I have had this error for three days. I deactivated then reactivated the plugin. What the heck do I do to fix it?

Hey everyone, the message “We were unable to get your stats just now. Please try again.” is back! Will this be resolved AGAIN any time soon? I need to have my stats daily and can not afford to lose a few days by deactivating or updating etc. Why does this seem to be a repeating problem?

    Hi

Seems that the Jetpack no graphics issue is back again, well least for me. This follows upgrading to WordPress 3.4. Jetpack is 1.3.4.

All other aspects of the statistics plugin seem to be working okay.

    Any suggestions on a fix?

    Thanks
    Andrew

I have the same problem. The only thing not working is the graph of the top.

When I click on Stats I get the spinning logo forever with a blank page. I just updated Jetpack today on my 5 sites and the stats are not working on any of them,

I checked the stats on each site just before updating and it was working everywhere, So, it must be the update…

I have been lucky and overnight my statistics graph has come back. In the meantime I had contacted Jetpack support and had got a quick response so suggest if anyone is still experiencing problems to do the same.

    Regards
    Andrew

    Hi,

Among those of you that had this problem with WordPress 3.4. and Jetpack 1.3.4 (normal updating arround July 2012), has any of you found a solution?

    Thanks!
