Jetpack stats problem

  • This may be a wordpress.com issue but I am not sure – Two sites of mine with separate wordpress.com users are not able to see their Site Statistics within the wordpress install nor the server at wordpress.com… Just a spinning wheel for both.

    I logged into the one of and was able to see stats directly on wordpress.com, but still not on the wordpress site, so i thought i would log out and back in, a quick reset, and all would be fine but now it wont log back in and i get this error.

    Jetpack could not contact WordPress.com: register_http_request_failed. This usually means something is incorrectly configured on your web host. connect() timed out!

    Hoping someone with a bit more hosting experience can tell me if this is something that changed on the host or a problem with the wordpress install so i can proceed appropriately…
